Welcome to the Story!  I’m so glad you’re here! It’s been an amazing journey.  As an artist, designer, and deep thinker I have always had a love for creating art. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with amazing people and to work on many challenging projects. None as amazing or as challenging as my “Killer Fish” NFT collection. I didn’t know what I was in for!  But perseverance for months of many long days and nights has brought me here. Having a good family helps!

 

In the beginning ideas flew all over the place but the one rule I made from the start was that the art had to be of high quality, digitally hand drawn, all original and not AI generated. Small assets needed would be licensed and paid for, but there were few. This kind of endeavor is scary when you think of having to create many pieces for a collection!  But the talent was there!  Namely myself, Rick Dalessandro, founder and sole creator with over 20 years experience in the world of digital creations. 

 

Great, a big pat on the back for myself. But, how good are you in social media I asked myself? Not!  Enter my sister and niece. They gave me a jump start on Instagram and within a month and a half we broke 1000 followers by posting really good content but nothing to do with the collection that was still under wraps. I've garnered many more followers now and they numbers growing. I still need work in the social media areas.

 

My overriding motivation is my love for the environment and in particular the ocean. It saddens me to see how humans have abused the majestic seas by dumping pollution in it with little regard on the effect of the environment below. In my small way I will try to bring awareness to these issues through small donations generated by the sale of the NFTs.

 

The “Killer Fish” is not what you think. It cleans and guards and it takes action against those who would pollute, overfish, and destroy the worlds most precious asset. 

 

There are many “Killer Fish” roles.  Scavengers to clean the debris and plastic, overseers to watch out for violators, ocean rangers to show the clean ocean way, miners to keep the NFT engine running cleanly. There's the Sarge! You don’t want to make a mess in his wake. Then there are just your everyday “Killer Fish” that look like they’re enjoying the day, but are they really? Spies perhaps! Beware polluters!
